Your Role

You will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the leadership team that drives all major decisions within the business.

You will lead our efforts to establish 221 as a household brand that will disrupt traditional Real Estate and Lifestyle marketplace companies.

You will own the branding, product marketing, and long-term marketing strategy for 221 as we scale from one country to another. You’ll also oversee all paid marketing channels along with the VP of Growth. Lastly, you’ll be responsible for driving SEO, content, community, PR, and other non-paid marketing efforts.

  • Develop and execute the strategy for B2B and B2C growth.
  • Work closely with CEO and Sales Manager to achieve high demand and usage.
  • Develop repeatable expansion, adoption and advocacy programs to achieve high net retention.
  • Build a scalable demand generation engine.
  • Design customer and prospect personas and journeys to drive demand generation that can take 221 to a €500M+ in revenue.
  • Build and lead a highly productive and engaged world class team of diverse B2B marketers incl. analytics, content, product, growth, and nurture specialists.
  • Build and optimise the marketing tech stack.
  • Leverage multi-touch attribution, lead scoring, web analytics, multivariate testing, marketing automation, etc.
  • Lead market and product intelligence.
  • Drive ongoing analysis of the market including customers, products and the competition.
  • Provide world class sales enablement.
  • Develop alignment between the sales process and product story.
  • Build effective internal communication channels and scalable product training to help drive the pipeline, find new buyers, and cross-sell into existing accounts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing all matters related to Marketing, including branding, product marketing, paid advertising, content, SEO, community, PR, partnerships, and growth
  • Helping drive all major business decisions as a core member of the leadership team, reporting directly to CEO
  • Creating branding and positioning based on a deep understanding of our customers and market dynamics, translating customer learnings into overall business and product strategy
  • Allocating resources and budget to unlock new marketing channels
  • Working with HR to Recruit and lead a world-class Marketing function
  • In tandem with the CEO, overseeing the optimization of performance marketing channels
  • Working in close collaboration with Product & Design, Engineering, Finance, and Credit Risk to achieve business goals

About You

  • Fluent in English
  • Prior experience as Chief Marketing Officer or apex marketing decision-maker at a B2B and or consumer technology company
  • Deep experience and track record of results in B2B SaaS demand generation and product marketing.
  • Experience in creating amazing content marketing machines and attribution models.
  • Strong track record of building and leading marketing teams in high-growth and at-scale B2B SaaS companies.
  • Passionate about product- and customer-centric marketing.
  • Globally minded with superb execution skills with a strong focus on results and problem solving.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A “do-er” mentality – a mix of large company (operating at scale) and small company (quick execution) experiences.
  • You’re a leader – someone who inspires, motivates, and coaches the team and energizes the company.
  • 5+ years of experience establishing and managing B2B and B2C digital services or similar
  • Team player and builder who can execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment and startup culture; strong decision-maker with the ability to reorient teams and drive execution cross-functionally when priorities change or are ambiguous
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; a natural storyteller and creative problem solver
  • Experience establishing brand identity based on deep consumer research and segmentation
  • A collaborator with a constant curiosity and a learning mentality who likes to execute on the tactics as much as set the strategy
  • Track record of being responsible for an annual budget and performance metrics, driving compelling creative campaigns across digital channels
